Katy Perry’s big ‘mistake’ when it comes to husband Orlando Bloom and career

Katy Perry has been accused of leaning too heavily on the advice of her husband Orlando Bloom when it comes to her comeback.
The star has ramped up her raunch factor since playing her recent concerts and now her friends are reportedly blaming Orlando for her changing look.
A source close to the couple said: “It’s actually a little scary that Katy’s decision to return to her sex-appeal roots has fallen flat with her fans.
The insider continued to Life & Style: “She’s all but admitted that this was something Orlando wanted her to try, but that doesn’t make the bad reviews and ‘who cares?’ response from the industry any easier to swallow.”
After Katy released her recent album 143 last month she found herself falling foul of a sea of criticism, partly due to the feminist theme of the LP which was deemed controversial when she worked alongside infamous producer Dr. Luke.
The source explained: “Her entire category of radio pop exists in the shadow of Taylor Swift at the moment and Katy was foolish to think she could be the exception to that rule. So, it’s back to the drawing board and hopefully this time she will take less of Orlando’s advice and not more of it.”
The insider went on to suggest that Katy needs to draw on her past successes when she became globally famous and shy away from the tactics allegedly suggested to her by Orlando.
They told how Katy’s biggest hits – like Roar – were “popular because of the songwriting, not the videos and certainly not her skimpy outfits,” adding that with “the right collaboration with a songwriter” she can still be “capable of making hit music.”

They also pointed out that Katy “doesn’t have” a strong songwriting collaborator like Billie Eilish has with her brother Finneas and like Taylor has with Jack Antonoff.
They explained how Katy likes to “work with a lot of different people instead of just one or two writers or producers,” whereas Billie and Finneas have worked together for multiple albums continually making a a string of hit songs.
The source then suggested that Katy should find a writing collaborator she likes and “really invest in that relationship.”
They added: “It’s not rocket science but Katy clearly miscalculated by listening to her husband for advice on her pop career!”
